Swifty is a lovely silver laced Wyandotte and earned her name – when she was a baby it was almost impossible to catch her and give her a bath! Now that she’s 5, she’s a bit easier to catch, but still has the same “I don’t WANT a bath” attitude come clean up time. Swifty will not eat out of your hand, instead she will talk to you and ask you to put the food on the ground. In chicken speak, she is asking for permission to eat. What a sweetheart!

Office Gossip - Wheezer
Wheezer has earned both her name and her title. She had gapeworm as a chick and as a result does not sing like a normal chicken. Instead she honks like a goose! She is an excellent mama and is currently fostering two very energetic serama chicks.
Bugs. She loves to catch them in flight and gets very excited when she shows her trick to her babies
Acai Berry Total Body Care
Lucky – The troublemaker
Lucky is way too smart for her own good and loves to get into things she’s not supposed to. I’ve caught her walking the fence to get to my flower pots and she regularly sneaks out to visit the neighbors (apparently the grass IS greener on the other side!). When I bring out leftovers, she hops up on the bench so she can get the best ones first. It makes Lady growl!
Neem & Honey Skin Saver
The latest addition to the FreeRange Family, the minions love to run, chest bump and eat. They will follow you anywhere and their favourite food is bread. Our minion friends are on the fast track at FreeRange Skincare, but they still have a lot to learn!
Conditioning Shampoo Bar
Pip is pretty and she knows it! She hatches her babies, sends them off to the sitter and is off to the mall to buy clothes! She is the quintessential mean girl in the group and loves to throw her weight around (all 12 ounces of it).
Activated Charcoal Soap
You can tell that Q-tip got her name from her appearance! She is very sweet and lays blue eggs. Q-tip knows her name and enjoys rolling on her back to dustbathe.
Le Château Poulet
The Le Chateau Poulet is French for “The Chicken Home”. My husband built this for the girls back when Lady was just a baby. It is a happy, inviting home that the girls can use to relax in when they aren’t out free ranging.
Store Security - Cleveland
Cleveland is always keeping an eye out for danger and constantly talking to the girls. He is a true gentleman and will call the girls over whenever he finds a yummy treat. He seems to be a morning boy as I see him puffing up like a turkey and chasing the girls in the early morning hours – it’s quite amusing as Cleveland is only about 6 inches long and weighs less than a pound.
Canned Corn. Cleveland has been known to stick his head so far into a can of salt-free corn that when he stands back up the can comes with him!
Bye Bye Bugs
Shop Foreman - Lady
Lady is from our very first flock, and she knows she is in charge. All she needs to do is give a look and the minions scatter. At the same time, she uses her wisdom to help the younger hens learn the best grub spots and when to watch for danger. Her beautiful white feathers show that she has aged gracefully, and she can still run with the best of them to catch flying grapes!
Yes Ice cream!
I walk out with an ice cream sandwich, or a bowl of it and she stalks me begging the whole time.
Lavender soap. When Lady gets her bath I use the lavender cleansing bar and it helps her relax. People aren’t the only ones who benefit from essential oils!
